Why Adopt MEG

Built for Minnesota, Ready for the Classroom

Not repackaged national curricula — MEG's courses were purpose-built for Minnesota students.

Full MN Standards Alignment

Every lesson maps to Minnesota standards — not adapted from a national framework — with clear alignment documentation for administrators.

Culturally & Tribally Responsive

Dakota and Ojibwe cultural contexts featured in lesson problems and activities — with facts verified against primary sources. Students see their community reflected in math class.

Teachers Get Everything They Need

Complete slide decks, guided notes, answer keys, lesson plans, slide-synced substitute plans, and PBIS game masters — classroom-ready, so teachers stop building materials from scratch.

Dual-Platform, Zero Lock-In

Works in Google districts and Microsoft districts — no platform lock-in, no migration cost. Every resource ships in both formats.

Family Engagement Built In

Family letters for every unit, in four languages (English, Hmong, Somali, Spanish) — so family engagement doesn't stop at the language barrier.

The Complete V6 Unit Kit — 13 Categories, 264 Files

Every unit ships the full V6 kit: scope & sequence, pacing, slide decks, lesson plans, teacher editions, tiered worksheets (English + Spanish), assessments with student versions, guided notes (print + fillable), bell ringers, family letters (English, Hmong, Somali, Spanish), teacher resources, and substitute plans. Source-verified MN career bank (28 careers, DEED-verified wages), 258-theme Minnesota design bank, Prime Time game rotation, embedded MTSS with three adaptive pathways, and Tribal Nation contexts per MN Statute 120B.021.

FAQ

Common Questions About Adoption

Everything you need to know about bringing MEG to your district.

Reach out through our contact form or email info@meriteducationgroup.com. We'll schedule a discovery call, provide a complete sample unit for your review team, and handle onboarding — typically 2–4 weeks from first contact to classroom-ready.

Dual-format — Google and Microsoft compatible, so every slide deck, lesson, and assessment opens in the workflow your district already uses. Slide decks and lesson materials work standalone, so no specific LMS is required — use Canvas, Schoology, Google Classroom, or none at all.

Training and onboarding are built directly into the LMS — teachers master the curriculum at their own pace and refresh anytime. Every course also includes a teacher guide with pacing and differentiation tips. After that, the curriculum is yours to update in-house at no cost, or you can add MEG's annual update service.

Yes — every lesson, quiz, and assessment maps directly to Minnesota academic standards, with complete alignment documentation for administrators showing coverage across each unit.

Standard classroom technology — a teacher computer with internet access and a projector or smart board. Student materials are printable PDFs as well as digital, and our Google and Microsoft formats work with the free versions of those platforms. No additional software or paid subscriptions required.

Absolutely. We encourage districts to pilot MEG with a single teacher or small cohort before scaling. We also provide a complete sample unit at no cost during evaluation so your curriculum committee can review the materials thoroughly.

The national programs carry marketing, sales, printing, and annual per-student billing — and you pay for all of it. We removed the parts that don't teach math: no sales force, no print runs, no middlemen, no renewals. Free open-source materials exist, and we acknowledge them — but they don't include a ready-to-teach Minnesota-aligned course. We're not the cheapest option; we're the one that's ready on day one.

Yes. Personal Finance is a required Minnesota graduation credit for every student beginning 9th grade in 2024–25 and later. MEG's Personal Finance course satisfies that requirement with the same one-time $5,000 setup plus $25 per student — one less course your district has to build from scratch.
